Your key responsibilities as a Residential Childcare Officer:

• To provide a caring and supportive environment for children and young people. Respect and affirm their racial, cultural, and religious identity and lifestyle.
• To advocate for and support children and young people, which could include representing them or accompanying them at Schools, Health facilities, job centers and other events.
• To assist in returning children/young people to their families or help them to move on to alternative carers or preparing them for adulthood as part of the Care Plan and Pathway Plan.
• To help field social work staff, parents and carers in the design and implement of Care Plans and Placement Plans for each child/young person, considering the views of the child/young person
• Experience working with children’s or young adults –Nursery Nurse/ Teaching Assistant/ Childcare Provider
• Level 3 childcare qualification desirable
• Umbrella £16.85 day rate, night rate £22.46 , bank holiday £33.70, overtime £25.28
• Locations North – East – South West of Cardiff
• Car driver essential
• People willing to do sleep in’s are preferred but not essential

Essential Requirement:

• Eligible to work in the UK
• Hold a full UK license
• Post-qualified experience
