We are looking for experienced Children’s Advanced Social Work Practitioner to join a new and innovative team specializing in children’s mental health. This is a fantastic opportunity to specialise in this challenging but rewarding area working with some our most vulnerable children and young people in Sheffield.

As a Social Worker within the Children with Disabilities Team, you are required to:

• Support children and young people who have complex mental health issues, both at home, in placements and within specialist mental health hospitals.
• Ensure that there is a robust safety and care plan in place, that keeps the child/young person at the centre.
• Develop care plans in collaboration with the family and specialist agencies involved in the case, such as CAMHS, NHS England, Clinical Commissioning Group and specialist hospitals.
• Experience in child protection, safeguarding, risk management and care proceeding or in children’s mental health from the health sector.
• Ability to build strong relationships and trust with children and young people in crisis
• Ability to work under pressure and be part of a close and supportive team
• Experience of working with children and young people who are disabled is also desirable
