Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting an experience Qualified Social Worker to join the Children & Families Team in Wakefield, who have a Child Protection, Child in need or Child Looked After plan and varying needs of complexities.

As an Experienced Social Worker, your role will be to:

• Manage a caseload involving complex and high-risk cases, including child protection, care and support, and legal actions.
• Conduct assessments, create care plans, and coordinate external support within budget limits.
• Collaborate with services to optimize resource use and apply social work techniques tailored to individual needs.
• Ensure positive outcomes by providing support and advice, ensuring plans are evidence-based and regularly reviewed.
• Protect and promote welfare of at-risk adults and children, taking necessary actions to safeguard those at immediate risk.
• Participate in duty rotations, responding to crises, guiding other professionals, and managing risks.
• Mentor and support team members, new social workers, and students, contributing to their professional development.
• Make ‘best interest’ decisions, including conducting assessments for liberty protection, preparing court reports, and chairing meetings related to care, health care, or safeguarding.

As a Social Worker you are required to:

• Hold a Social Work England registration
• Be eligible to work in the UK
• Hold a full UK licence
• Post-qualified experience
• Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
