Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting experienced Team Manager to join an LAC Team based in Darlington. You will be responsible for a number of Social Workers within a Looked After Through Care Team, focusing on Children in our Care alongside a focus on placement stability.

As Team Manager you will:

• Overseeing and managing a team of social workers and family workers to ensure the well-being and safety of children in care
• Working with children identified as in need, conducting assessments, and developing plans to support them
• Ensuring placement stability for children in care by coordinating appropriate placements and support services
• Providing guidance, supervision, and support to social workers and family workers to deliver high-quality services to children and families
• Collaborating with other professionals, agencies, and stakeholders to meet the needs of children in care effectively
• Upholding professional standards, policies, and procedures to safeguard the welfare of children under their care

What we are looking for in a Team Manager:

• Hold a fully accredited DipSW/Social Work degree (equivalent to Level 6 NQF), are registered with Social Work England, and have a management qualification or equivalent experience.
• Have a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in Children’s Social Care
• Experience of working with all service user groups and with service users from the minority ethnic groups
• Experience of interpreting and applying the law relating to children and / or to adult services
• Experience of child protection and childcare work and issues arising
