Manchester Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Manager to lead their Children’s Complex Safeguarding Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children in their community.

Primary Responsibilities as a Team Manager:

• Leadership: Provide strong leadership to the team, ensuring effective case management and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Complex Safeguarding: Oversee complex safeguarding cases, collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure the best outcomes for children.
• Supervision: Provide regular supervision and support to social workers, promoting professional development and reflective practice.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor and maintain high standards of practice, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
• Court Proceedings: Attend court hearings as required, representing the team and providing expert evidence.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other teams, agencies, and stakeholders to improve outcomes for children and families.

What we are looking for as Team Manager:

• Social Work England registration
• Eligible to work in the UK
• Hold a full UK license
• Post-qualified experience
• Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
