Shortlist Announced for Liquid's Social Work Writing Contest
We are delighted to unveil the shortlisted entrants for our social work writing competition.
Ourselves and the judges were extremely impressed by the standard of entries submitted from social work students, NQSWs and experienced social workers, which answered the question below.
"The average 'career lifespan' of a social worker is just 8 years. What can be done to increase engagement among social workers and keep them in the profession for longer?"
The judges were pleased by the wide range of ideas displayed and the great passion for social work that was evident in all the entries,
We would like to thank everyone who submitted an entry to the competition, and are thrilled to announce the shortlisted entrants from each category.
Social Work Students
The judging panel includes British Association of Social Workers Chief Executive Ruth Allen, chair of several safeguarding committees Sarah Baker, and prominent writer the Social Work Tutor.
Also included among the judges is former council director of children's and adults' services Ian Winter and Department for Education advisor Tony Crane.
They will announce a winner in each category as well as the overall winner - who will win £1000 - in January 2017.
Thanks again to everyone for taking part and well done to all shortlisted entrants!
